Research has proven that participation in a musical activity raises math skills, reading comprehension, and test scores. Music is a lifelong activity that anyone can do either in a group or individually. Here at Bert Lynn Middle School, almost 445 students participate in the Music Corps, which makes up almost a third of the school’s population!
The goal of the Bert Lynn Music Corps is to teach all students about the fundamentals of performing music and about the musical world around us. It is my goal that each students gains not only an aptitude for music, but also the desire and and love for it to continue their musical education next year, in high school, and beyond.
